The Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) provides confidential counselling assistance to government employees and their families for work-related and personal problems

Criminal record checks are required for certain jobs in the Saskatchewan public service. These include positions:

  • with responsibility for public money;
  • with the ability to modify information technology systems;
  • working with third-party organizations that call for criminal record checks;
  • entrusted with the care of, or intervention with, vulnerable clients;
  • involved in law enforcement/security;
  • involved in the administration of the criminal justice system; and
  • with other special circumstances, on a case-by-case basis.
